Kinoshita Cup
The next figure skating event at ISU CS Kinoshita Cup 2026 starts in Tokyo, Japan soon. Stay tuned to our social media for lots of Olympic figure skating news & updates.

Alexandra Trusova will make her competitive skating return at Kinoshita!
With the Russians now allowed to compete in figure skating internationally as neutral athletes, we’ll see the return of Sasha Trusova (Трусова) at the Kinoshita Cup in Tokyo from 4 – 6 September 2026.
We can’t wait to see the amazing Sasha return to international competition under her married name, Alexandra Ignatova. And she’ll have a great cheer squad on the sidelines cheering her on, including her husband Makar Ignatov, her little son, Misha, all their dogs back home and Sasha’s legions of fans around the world.
Trusova will return with her trademark high level tech, including a quad Lutz, and having seen examples of her in training and test skates, she looks to be back to near the best form of her life! Hopefully the luck will be with her in Tokyo, and she’ll make the podium in her first competition back (fingers crossed). But, if that doesn’t happen, we all have to remember it’s still early days back on the international skating scene and there’s plenty of time for her to settle back in. Either way, it’s going to be fun!

Junior Grand Prix
Here’s a look at the figure skating calender for the Junior Grand Prix Series 2025. As of last year, you can now watch these competitions on the main ISU Youtube Channel.
GRAND PRIX SERIES
Here are the Grand Prix dates to pencil into your diary for the 2025 – 2026 season. Lots of big names will be in attendance including Mikhail Shaidorov, Ilia Malinin, Adam Siao Him Fa, Kaori Sakamoto and more.
About the Grand Prix Series:
- ISU Grand Prix series started in 1995
- Skaters are seeded based on their results in the previous ISU World Figure Skating Championships
- The top 12 individuals and couples are guaranteed 2 Grand Prix assignments
- Skaters acquire points at their Grand Prix assignments that count towards potential qualification for the Grand Prix Final
- Only the top 6 Skaters/Couples in each discipline qualify for the GP Final

The Russian figure skating season starts in August with Test Skates. Watch the season and how it plays out on Channel 1 and Фигурное катание Youtube channel. As we find more ways to watch, we’ll update them here.
