Who to watch out for?
Defending World Champion and Olympic silver medallist Shoma Uno, of Japan, will be hoping to retain his title. His recent performances have been excellent but Ilia Malinin (USA) has also been on form, although often underscored, so this should be an intense battle. Other names to look out for include European Champion Adam Siao Him Fa (FRA) and University Games champion Sota Yamamoto (JPN).
The women’s defending World Champion, Kaori Sakamoto (Japan), will face serious competition from her fellow Japanese skaters including Rinka Watanabe and University Games champion Mai Mihara (JPN). South Korean skaters including Four Continents winner Haein Lee, Yelim Kim and Chaeyeon Kim are also expected to be very competitive.
