Pairs figure skaters Aleksandra Boikova and Dmitrii Kozlovskii have both announced, via Instagram, that they are to leave coach Tamara Moskvina in the summer and make the move to a new coaching team under the guidance of Eteri Tutberidze. No specific reason for the move to Moscow has been reported so far, but the rumour of their potential departure from Moskvina’s group has been circulating for some time now.

This talented Russian pairs figure skating team have been working on adding more technical difficulty to their programs, and recently landed an impressive quad throw salchow during an ice show. Under Moskvina’s coaching Boikova & Kozlovskii became two-time Russian champions, European champions and world championship medallists.

Boikova said, “Dima and I and Tamara Nikolaevna’s team have come a long way in seven years. We are grateful for our first steps in pairs skating and for the victories we have achieved in that time. But we have decided to move on and try something new. That’s why we are joining the team of Eteri Gueorguiyevna Tutberidze. We hope that this path will be a happy and successful one for us. Thank you to everyone who has been and will be with us.”
We wish Aleksandra and Dmitrii the best of luck and can’t wait to see what they do next!
