Interclub League Stage 3 – Altay, Burqin, China.

July 28, 2025

We’re just about halfway through the Chinese Interclub League, and although this stage was quieter in terms of participant numbers, but just like the previous rounds, it once again delivered another historic moment for Chinese figure skating.

In the senior women’s event, Yihan (Katie) Wang – 王一涵, put down an impressive performance, not only setting new personal bests but also continuing her trend of making history. Last season, she became the first Chinese woman to win a Junior Grand Prix stage. Now, she’s reached another major milestone by earning the highest overall scores ever by a Chinese woman in domestic competition. In doing so, she became the first Chinese woman to break the 210+ point barrier.

Short Program ║ 72.53

Free Skate ║ 142.75

Total Scores ║ 215.28

We’re only a few competitions in, and what an amazing start Yihan has had already! Her skating has always been strong, but she just keeps getting better and you can really see how much her performance skills have grown this season. We can’t wait to see how she does in her upcoming domestic events and on the Junior Grand Prix circuit!
