The Junior World Figure Skating Championships was held in Calgary, Canada over the past weekend. The Japanese and South Korean skaters dominated the competition.
Mao Shimada of Japan put in two great performances that received Personal Best scores to finish 1st in the competition with 224.54 points. She won by a wide margin of 22.64 points. She was followed in 2nd by Jia Shin of South Korea who finished with a Season’s Best total score of 201.90 points. The Japanese also took the final podium spot with Ami Nakai taking 3rd with 197.40 points.
