It’s interesting to note the difference in the number of Ultra C elements performed at the Russian Grand Prix Final compared to a lower amount at international competitions. The Russian athletes perform them far more and there are more Russian female skaters that have a stable triple axel, particularly among their current up-and-coming junior skaters. Their disciplined approach to training and recovery coupled with great facilities have allowed them to excel at advancing figure skating as a sport. Hopefully we’ll see them back on the international skating scene soon!
