Up-and-coming Pairs figure skating team, Hyejin Cho and Steven Adcock, have split. Their coach, Andrew Evans, announced via his Instagram account that Hyejin Cho is currently seeking a new pairs skating partner. The pair represented S. Korea, and while their partnership was still in its early stages, they showed great promise and many were looking forward to seeing more from them next season. Unfortunately, Adcock confirmed that he would be retiring due to injury, saying: “Over the course of this season, I was dealing with a difficult back injury. Given the injury, I am unable to continue training at the intensity needed to continue to compete.”
We wish them both lots of luck for the future, and hope to see Hye-Jin with a new partner soon.
