She is a former bronze medallist at the 2020 Youth Olympics and finished 10th at the Russian Grand Prix Final 2022-2023. She is a really lovely skater but has struggled with injuries in recent years.
Sport-express.ru lead with the headline Фигуристка Фролова покинула группу Сергея Давыдова which translates as, Anna Frolova has exited Sergei Davidov’s group.
In jury in 2021 caused her to miss most of the figure skating season and she has struggled with injury since, but back in January Davidov said “she has no plans to retire because of the injury”.
But a few days after the Grand Prix Final Anna gave him flowers, and let him know that she would be departing the group. Interesting Note: It’s seems to be quite commonplace in Russia to give flowers to a coach when an athlete lets them know they are leaving. It emphasizes how important it is to everyone concerned that they remain on good terms.
